How will my quote be calculated?: The price is determined by the type of business you run (single proprietor, limited company, etc.), any additional work that is needed outside the scope of your basic package, such as VAT returns or supplementary pay slips, and the number of bookkeeping transactions that we would consider to be typical.
What is the meaning of "number of bookkeeping transactions"?: The quantity of transactions, or quantity for which we will need to make bookkeeping entries, is the approximate amount of receipts and invoices you will have throughout the year. In a given year, our typical client has between 1000 and 2000 transactions (or under 166 per month).
What is VAT?: Value Added Tax, or VAT, is a separate fee added to the price of products and services. Only UK-based businesses that are VAT-registered manufacture it. 20% is the current VAT rate. By becoming VAT registered, you essentially turn into a small-scale tax collector for the HMRC, as you collect the money on their behalf. Additionally, by doing this, you have the right to request a refund of the VAT you paid while purchasing goods and services, which is where it may be quite beneficial for a developing company.

Do we need to have a meeting?: Depending on your desire, we'd like to have a consultation with you through video call, phone call, or in-person in order to provide you a price.
